Privacy Policy

Your record stays with you.

This policy says what we collect, why, who sees it, and what you can do about it. Plain language.

Performance Equity Inc. · Effective date: September 27, 2026 · Website and interest list only

Who handles your information

Performance Equity Inc. operates this website and interest list. Performance Equity Foundation is a separate nonprofit with its own website and programs. Questions about this list can be sent to info@performanceequity.com.

When an adult joins the list

We collect your first name, your last name if you choose to give it, your email, confirmation that you are 18 or older, recorded-workout history band, training frequency and setting, readiness answer, and agreement to receive list and invitation communications. You may also answer the optional opportunity question. That answer, training frequency, and training setting do not affect the starting estimate.

After saving your registration, you may add your wearable or device, Metro or ZIP, and gym. These details are optional and can be skipped. Please keep medical, financial, and other sensitive personal details out of free-text answers.

Parent and guardian interest

A parent or guardian can express interest for a prospective participant aged 13–17 using the adult's own name and email. We record the adult's parent or guardian confirmation and the 13–17 age band. This route does not ask for the young person's name, email, workout history, location, or health information.

Parent or guardian interest is not enrollment or completed participant consent. An invitation will explain the proposed participation, supported setup, and consent steps before enrollment. This website provides no registration route for children under 13.

When you contact us

The contact form collects your name, email, topic, and message to handle your inquiry. Form messages are stored in the same database as the interest list. If you email us directly, your message is handled in our Google Workspace mailbox.

How the website records a save

The list record includes a starting estimate where applicable, communication agreement and timestamps, optional answers, and the page that led to registration. Internal identifiers support duplicate handling, retries, and optional updates. They are not public queue numbers.

After a successful save, a short-lived browser session supports the optional updates, as described under Cookies. The invitation link contains no email address, personal answers, or individual tracking code.

Why we use this information

To record interest, provide the adult starting estimate, prepare invitations, understand prospective participation, and respond to questions. Joining this list does not connect a wearable, collect workout files, or create verified sessions.

Hosting and access

Four service providers process information from this website:

To limit abuse, the form service keeps a one-way coded value derived from your IP address to count form requests over one minute, and to count confirmation emails over one hour. Values older than one minute (form requests) or one hour (confirmation emails) are deleted automatically when later requests of the same kind arrive. Your IP address itself is never stored in the database. The site runs no advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not sell your information. What the site stores in your browser is described under Cookies. Performance Equity Inc. is accountable for list and inquiry records. Access is limited to the people who run the list.

Cookies

This website uses no advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. Every page, image, and film loads from performanceequity.com, and no third party sets cookies here.

The site sets one cookie, in one case: when an adult joins the list with JavaScript turned off in the browser. The cookie is named pe_update. It holds a random registration identifier and a one-time update code, so the optional details form on the next page can reach your saved record. It holds no email address and no answers. It is sent only to the optional details form, scripts on the page cannot read it, and it travels only over a secure connection. It expires 30 minutes after it is set, and it is deleted when you save the optional details.

With JavaScript on, the site sets no cookies. When you open the signup form, the page keeps a random request code in that browser tab's session storage, so a retried submission is saved only once. The code holds no personal information. It is removed when you save or skip the optional details, and your browser deletes it when you close the tab. The contact form stores nothing in your browser. The site uses no other browser storage.

You can view and delete cookies and site data for performanceequity.com in your browser's privacy or site data settings. Deleting them does not change your place on the list.

If we add optional cookies in the future, such as analytics, the site will ask for your consent before setting them.

Retention, removal, and communication choices

Interest-list records for people we have not invited are kept for up to 12 months after sign-up, then deleted in our monthly retention review. Contact-form messages are kept for up to 12 months after we receive them, then deleted in the same review. If an email already on the list is submitted again, we keep only a coded value that we cannot link back to an email address, and it is deleted within 12 months. We complete a requested deletion within 30 days. A deleted record leaves our database provider's backups when those backups expire.

When you join the list, we send one confirmation email. After that, we write only when there is real news about the list, the beta, or the score. We send at most one confirmation to an email address, ever; to keep that promise we store a coded value of the address with your list record, and it is deleted with the record. If you unsubscribe, we keep a coded value of your address that we cannot turn back into the address, so that we never email it again, including after your list record is deleted.

Every email we send about the list includes a way to unsubscribe. You can also email info@performanceequity.com with the subject “Unsubscribe.”

For questions or requests about information provided directly to Performance Equity, email info@performanceequity.com with the subject “Privacy request,” or use the contact form and choose “Privacy or data request.”
